On January 16, 2025, AWS announced the introduction of multi-session support, a new feature which enables AWS customers to access multiple AWS accounts simultaneously in the AWS console. This feature is available as an opt-in on a per user, per browser basis.
At this time, Kion does not support AWS’s multi-session functionality and we recommend opting-out of this capability at this time. Users who attempt to use multi-session capabilities may result in unexpected behavior or errors when attempting to federate into the AWS console via Kion.
Next Steps
- Avoid Using Multi-Session Features: To ensure a seamless experience with Kion, we recommend refraining from enabling multi-session functionality in your AWS account at this time.
- Stay Informed: Our product team is actively assessing customer demand and technical implications of supporting AWS multi-session support. We will provide regular updates on our progress via the Kion Support Center and through release notes.
- Provide Feedback: If AWS multi-session support is critical to your organization, please share your use cases and feedback with our product team at support@kion.io.
Troubleshooting
If you enable multi-session support and run into problems accessing the AWS management console, we recommend clearing your browser cookies and then disabling the feature. Please refer to the AWS documentation for more information.
