On May 15, 2023, Kion was notified by ZenDesk that they would be ending support for the Microsoft Azure Active Directory sign-in option for end-users. ZenDesk is the platform that underpins the Kion Success Center. On May 18th, ZenDesk has disabled sign-in using Microsoft Azure Active Directory for all ZenDesk sites. This change does not impact personal Microsoft accounts (those not managed by Azure Active Directory).
What are my options?
Instead of authenticating with your Microsoft account for the Kion Success Center, you may choose one of the other authentication methods:
- Login using your Google account.
- To do this, choose Sign in with Google on the Kion Success Center login page.
- You will be prompted to select your Google account from the list shown before logging in normally.
- If you choose this option, you will choose Sign in with Google on the login page each time moving forward.
- To do this, choose Sign in with Google on the Kion Success Center login page.
- Login using ZenDesk Authentication.
- To do this, choose Forgot password? on the Kion Success Center login page.
- You will be prompted to re-enter your email address into the form.
- You will receive an email with the subject Create a password for Kion. This email comes from support@kion.io.
- Within the email that you receive, click the Create a password link and follow the prompts to generate a new password for your account.
- If you choose this option, you will need to enter your email address and the newly created password on the login page each time moving forward.
- To do this, choose Forgot password? on the Kion Success Center login page.
Common questions
- None of the instructions here are working for me and I can't access the data I need in the Kion Success Center. What should I do?
- If you aren't able to make any of these methods work, please reach out to us at support@kion.io so that we may assist you further directly.
- Will this change alter my access in the Kion Success Center or otherwise change the data I'm able to view?
- No. This change does not actually alter your user account. Instead, this change only alters how you authenticate to the same user account. You will retain the same access you had previously.
- If I'm impacted by this change, will this change impact others within my organization?
- Possibly. We do not strictly enforce the login methods to the Kion Success Center. Some users within your organization may use Microsoft authentication while others may use Google or ZenDesk authentication. Only those using Microsoft authentication are impacted.
- I've entered my email address to use ZenDesk Authentication but no password email has arrived. What should I do?
- Check your spam filter/messages to see if the message was marked as spam. We recommend that you whitelist support@kion.io.
