Global Permission Roles

Global permissions give users permissions that affect Kion as a whole. Since these permissions aren't applied at the resource level, they are assigned differently than OU, project, and funding source permissions.

Before you can map permissions to a permission role, you must have a role created. For more information, see Create a Permission Role.

To map users or user groups to global roles:

1. Navigate to Settings > Permissions.
2. Select the Global Permissions tab.
3. For each of the roles, select the users and user groups you would like to map to the role.
4. Click the Save button.

The permissions are applied immediately. Affected users do not need to log out.
