Remove and Delete a Label

Removing a label from an object does not affect any settings, configurations, or information on the object itself, but it can affect work flows that used the label, such as reporting. Before removing a label, check which interactions the removal will impact.

To remove a label from a resource from the settings menu:

1. In the left navigation menu, click Settings > Labels.
2. Click the ellipsis menu next to the label and select View.
3. Click the tab for the type of resource you want to remove the label from.
4. Click the ellipsis menu next to the object and select Remove.
5. Confirm that you want to remove the label.

To remove a label from a resource from the resource's details page:

1. Navigate to the resource you want to label. Labels can be applied to accounts, OUs, projects, funding sources, and cloud rules.
2. Click the ellipsis menu and select View.
3. On the Overview tab, click the Manage link next to Labels.
4. Find the label you want to remove and click Remove.
5. Click Save.

Deleting a label

Deleting a label completely removes it from cloudtamer.io. The label will be removed from all objects it is applied to.

To delete a label:

1. In the left navigation menu, click Settings > Labels.
2. Click the ellipsis menu next to the label and select Delete.
3. Confirm that you want to delete the label.
