Edit an Azure Role Definition

You can edit user-created Azure role definitions (to easily find the role definitions you can edit, use the Role Definition Type filter on the role definition list page). You can also clone any system-managed or Azure-managed role definitions using the ellipsis menu on the role definition and edit the clone, as the clone will be a user-created policy.

To edit a user-created Azure role definition: 

1. In the left navigation menu, click Cloud Management  > Azure Role Definitions.
2. Click on the ellipses menu on the role definition and select Edit.
3. Make edits to any fields. For more information about each field, see the Add an Azure Role Definition article.
4. Click Update Azure Role Definition.
