Uninstalling AWS Deployments

The best way to remove Kion is to delete the kion-app (or cloudtamer-app) CloudFormation stack first, then delete the kion-db (or cloudtamer-db) CloudFormation stack.

When a removal is performed, it will retain only a single snapshot of the database at the time of deletion. All other resources will be removed. We recommend taking a manual snapshot of the database prior to deletion.

If you would like to retain any of the server logs from the nodes, create an image of each of the nodes and ensure the No reboot option is checked. The Kion audit logs are retained in the database, so they do not require any additional backups.
