CIS for AWS 7.0.0

Overview
Kion comes with CIS for AWS 7.0.0 jumpstart support right out of the box (requires version 2.32.1 or greater to support). These jumpstart resources have been compiled into a Cloud Rule that allows you to quickly start applying permissions, enabling continuous compliance and deploying resources into your managed accounts to rapidly achieve cloud governance.
The CIS for AWS 7.0.0 Cloud Rule can be customized directly within the Kion platform allowing each organization the flexibility needed for their unique security posture and policy requirements.
You can also view all the resources used in this jumpstart by reviewing the CIS-AWS-v7 Cloud Rule and Compliance Standard or the jumpstart controls matrix.
Disclaimer: Be sure to review the resources that are bundled into the Cloud Rules and Compliance Standards. These are often updated by Kion, and some of them do make changes to cloud resources in your environments. Some of these changes can be considered destructive, in that they may do things such as remove public IPs, turn off VMs, change firewall rules, etc. It is the customer's responsibility to perform this review prior to deploying anything.
Controls Supported by Kion
This repository contains one or more resources that support the requirements of that control. In many cases, you will need other compensating countermeasures in addition to these resources to fully satisfy the control. For a complete breakdown of the CIS for AWS 7.0.0, including the controls, control enhancements, control descriptions and sample responses for the control, refer to the included CIS for AWS 7.0.0 controls matrix spreadsheet.
Unsupported Controls
Controls not addressed in the controls matrix are currently not supported. However, refer to the example responses in the included controls matrix spreadsheet as there may be a mitigating setting in the Kion application or an inherited control from the Cloud Service Provider platform. A majority of the unsupported controls are related to organization planning, security assessments, documenting procedures and policies within an organization and organizational training requirements. Please review the controls matrix, Compliance Standard or the Cloud Rules for more specific information.
